Mycoremediation

Water and soil clean up by leveraging fungi's natural ability to decompose and absorb pollutants

Importance of Soil Health

Our Work in Mycoremediation

Community Workshops & Research

Devastating wildfires often lead to catastrophic contamination of our soil and water. Our mushroom cultivation programs aims to provide opportunities for community engagement on bioremediation. In addition to restoring soil fertility and clean groundwater supply, we hope to empower local youths to participate in research, expand existing knowledge of bioremediation, and contribute to a more resilient world.

Field Trips and Foraging Hikes

We lead educational foraging hikes to increase awareness about the wonderful world of fungi including clues to finding ones that grow underground. Contact us for details. Fun fact: The “Wood Wide Web”, a complex network of underground mycorrhizal hyphae connect to plant roots for nutrient and signal transfer,  is estimated to be 450 quadrillion kilometers long, which is ~half the width of our galaxy.
